Women’s Track and Field Announces 2017 Signing Class

Nov. 16, 2016

THE FLATS – Georgia Tech women’s track and field head coach Alan Drosky announces his six-athlete signing class on Wednesday afternoon.

Nicole Fegans, Lizette Galarza, Kendria Edouard, Corrie Smith, Ebony Forbes and Hana Herndon will come to The Flats in fall of 2017. Four of the six will also compete on the women’s cross country team in the fall season before competing in the indoor and outdoor track and field seasons.

“We’re really happy with the group of women who will be joining our program next fall,” said Drosky. “Each of them brings their own abilities and attributes and will have a tremendous impact right away. Beyond their athletic talents, they are outstanding academically and of great character. I think the thing that stands out most to me across the board is that they are all very aggressive and they want themselves and our program to be great. So it’s not just their own set of skills they bring to our team, but their collective attitude will be instrumental in moving our program forward.

“Nicole and Liz will make a huge difference right away in cross country and in the distance events on the track. Corrie and Hana have great potential and will grow into strong contributors. Kendria is an excellent addition in the long sprints and middle distance area, as well as on relays. She will make an impact very early in her career. And Ebony is a perfect fit for Coach Nat Page, she is talented and the best is yet to come for her as an athlete.”
