Women’s Tennis Opens Spring Slate at Carolina Kickoff

THE FLATS – Georgia Tech women’s tennis gets the spring schedule underway this weekend, participating in the Carolina Kickoff hosted by South Carolina. The round robin tournament, which runs Friday-Sunday, also features Auburn and Wake Forest.

The three-day tournament will be played round robin style with one round of singles and doubles played on Friday. Saturday will feature two rounds of doubles and one round of singles, while the final round of singles action will be played Sunday morning.

Featured amongst the four competing teams will be 11 ranked singles players and four ranked doubles teams. Georgia Tech enters the tournament at No. 12 nationally in the first preseason ITA Coaches Poll, while Auburn carries a ranking of No. 25.

Friday
10 a.m. – South Carolina vs. Georgia Tech – singles and doubles
NBF 1:30 p.m. – Auburn vs. Wake Forest – singles and doubles

Saturday
10 a.m. – South Carolina vs. Auburn – singles and doubles
Followed by Auburn vs. Georgia Tech – doubles only

NBF 1:30 p.m. – Wake Forest vs. Georgia Tech – singles and doubles
Followed by Wake Forest vs. South Carolina – doubles only

Sunday
9 a.m. – Georgia Tech vs. Auburn – singles
Followed by South Carolina vs. Wake Forest – singles
