The Yellow Jackets won a battle against the Huskies on Thursday night to mark the first win against UConn in program history. Three Yellow Jackets posted double-figure scoring numbers led by Lotta-Maj Lahtinen with 15 points. Lorela Cubaj dominated on the boards, securing a game-high 13.

Furman carries a 5-5 record into the weekend looking to snap a three-game skid, most recently falling in overtime at Kennesaw State. The Paladins are led by Tierra Hodges who averages a double-double behind 16.1 points and 11.4 rebounds per game.  Tate Walters closely follows offensively, contributing 13.1 points per game on average. Furman is averaging 65.9 points a game and are outscoring its opponents by a +5.4 margin.

Georgia Tech and Furman will meet for the 11th time on the hardwood on Sunday with the Yellow Jackets leading the all-time series, 8-2. The opponents last met in 1994 in Atlanta as Tech owns a 3-1 edge in the series in its home city. The Jackets have won four-straight against the Paladins dating back to 1990.
