Women’s Basketball Visits Pittsburgh for Sunday Matinee

THE FLATS – Georgia Tech will look to snap a three-game skid on Sunday visiting Pittsburgh for a 2 p.m. matchup on ACC Network Extra.

STARTING FIVE AGAINST PITTSBURGH
1. Georgia Tech concludes this two-game road swing visiting Pittsburgh for the first time since 2016 on Sunday. The game will be available on ACC Network Extra.
2. The Jackets and Panthers have met five times in program history with Tech narrowly leading, 3-2. Tech has taken both meetings in Pittsburgh (2014, 2016).
3. The Jackets will look to bounce back from a loss at NC State on Wednesday. Zaire O’Neil led the Jackets with 19 points in the loss and was the only player to reach double-figures.
4. Georgia Tech is led in scoring this season by Francesca Pan who is averaging 13.3 points per game. Elo Edeferioka continues to lead the Jackets on the boards, pulling down 6.2 rpg.
5. Head coach MaChelle Joseph is in her 15th season on The Flats and carries an all-time career record of 286-183. Joseph is the all-time winningest coach in program history and holds the highest winning percentage in Yellow Jacket history at 60.9 percent.

SERIES HISTORY
Georgia Tech and Pittsburgh first met in 1999 in the GT/Atlanta Marriott NW Holiday Invitational. The Panthers captured the first meeting in program history before Tech claimed the next three-of-four. Tech has taken both meetings in Pittsburgh (2014, 2016) and leads the all-time series 3-2 after a win in Atlanta last season. The ACC foes met in McCamish Pavilion on Feb. 19 last season with the Jackets easily taking the victory, 71-57. Four Jackets (all starters) scored in double-figures led by 20 points from Francesca Pan. Leading Tech to victory, the Jackets finished 19-of-23 from the free throw line, while Pitt was 8-for-8. Pitt committed 17 turnovers in the contest, while Tech limited its miscues to single digits at nine.
