Women Set For ACC Swimming & Diving Championship

CHRISTIANSBURG, Va. – The Georgia Tech women’s swimming and diving team is set for 2012 ACC Championship, which kicks off on Wednesday, February 15 at 6 p.m. at the Christiansburg Aquatic Center in Virginia.

Two relays are on tap Wednesday evening — 200 medley relay followed by the 800 free relay. A live video stream of event finals will be available on theACC.com Thursday through Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m.

ACC Championship Central

Thursday begins the first day of preliminary action, commencing at 11 a.m. with the 500 free, the 200 IM and the 50 free. Men’s and women’s diving also begins Thursday.

Friday’s swimming events include the 400 IM, 100 fly, 200 free, 100 breast and the 100 back, while diving continues.

Everything wraps up Saturday as the 200 back, 100 free, 200 breast, 200 fly and 1,650 free will be contested, and diving will conclude.

The women’s squad took ninth at last year’s meet in Atlanta, tallying 152 points.
