THE FLATS – Georgia Tech cross country concluded the weekend of competition at the Berry Invite with a first-place finish in the women’s 6K and a second-place finish in the men’s 8K race.
Ashley Sechrest led the women to a team win with a third-place time of 22:37.29. Cole Miller was the top runner for the men, placing fourth with a time of 25:27.40.
Allie Walker was the second Jacket to cross the finish line in the women’s 6K with a sixth-place time of 23:07.37. Erin Fegans came in right behind Walker, placing seventh with a time of 23:16.45. Katherine Byrne finished in 10th place (24:06.06) and Isabella Turner recorded an 11th-place time of 24:07.39.
The men’s group had four athletes finish in the top 20 of the men’s 8K race. Ethan Curnow rounded out the top five with a fifth-place time of 25:43.70. Jean-Lou Pare came in 10th place with a time of 26:13.13. Lee Keil finished 18th with a time of 26:47.12.
