White vs. Gold Meet to Take Place this Friday-Saturday

THE FLATS – Georgia Tech swimming and diving will host its annual White vs. Gold intrasquad meet this weekend, Friday and Saturday, Sept. 28-29, at the McAuley Aquatic Center on the campus of Georgia Tech.

The two-day intrasquad will kick off Friday at 2 p.m. with a total of eight swimming events and the diving event, including six-straight individual events – 200 IM, 500 free, 100 breast, 200 back, 100 free and 200 fly. Friday will begin with the 200 free relay before the individual events and will end with the diving portion of the meet and the 400 medley relay.

Diving on Friday will consist of everyone doing one dive from the 3-meter and one dive from platform.

Saturday’s events will begin at 7:30 a.m. with the 200 medley relay before seven-straight individual races. From the relay, the teams will compete in the 400 IM, 200 free, 100 fly, 200 breast, 100 back, 50 free and the 1000 free. The intrasquad meet will conclude with the 400 free relay.

The Yellow Jackets will open the 2018-19 season in Tallahassee, Fla. on Oct. 6 as they face ACC foes Florida State and Pittsburgh. The meet is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.
