Volleyball Standout Maja Pachale Named ACC Player of the Week

Georgia Tech’s Maja Pachale earns this week’s Atlantic Coast Conference Player of the Week honor after leading the Yellow Jackets in last weekend’s Georgia Tech Classic.

On the weekend, Pachale posted 5.60 kills and 2.10 digs per game leading Tech against Georgetown, LSU and No. 12 Colorado State. She also averaged 0.50 blocks per game and a .371 hitting percentage throughout the three matches.

Pachale, a senior outside hitter recorded 21 kills, six digs and a .333 hitting percentage in the four game contest against No. 12 Colorado State. Later in the weekend, the Schwerin, Germany, native recorded 23 kills, eight digs and a .600 hitting percentage against LSU. Overall, the Yellow Jackets won matches against Georgetown and LSU and dropped to No. 12 Colorado State in four games.
