Volleyball Season Tickets On Sale

THE FLATS – Season tickets for the 2013 Georgia Tech volleyball season are now on sale. Season tickets for 16 home matches are just $50 for adults and $25 for youths (ages 18 and under) and seniors (ages 55 and older), and each order comes with a free t-shirt.

Individual games are $4 for adults and $2 for youths and seniors. Groups of 10 or more will be $1 per person. Fans can purchase their season ticket packages online at www.RamblinWreck.com or by calling 404-894-5447. All Georgia Tech students with a valid student ID receive free admission.

This season marks the first time non-Georgia Tech students with a valid student ID receive free admission for all Sunday matches.

Head coach Tonya Johnson enters her fifth year at the helm of the program after guiding the 2012 team to its third winning record in her tenure, going 19-12 overall record and 10-10 in ACC action. The Jackets return 10 players and add five newcomers to the 2013 roster.

The Yellow Jackets have four strong seniors returning, led by setter Kaleigh Colson. Sophomore Chanell Clark-Bibbs spent the summer in Europe as a member of the 2013 USA Volleyball Women’s Junior National Team.

Georgia Tech hosts the Georgia Tech Invitational to kick off the 2013 season and faces Florida A&M at O’Keefe Gymnasium on Friday, Aug. 30. First serve is set for 10 a.m.

The 2013 home schedule also features the Georgia Tech Courtyard Classic Sept. 13-14 and 10 ACC matches, including conference newcomers Notre Dame (Oct. 12) and Syracuse (Nov. 24). Tech welcomes 2012 regular season champion Florida State and Miami the first week of October.

Duke and Wake Forest wrap up Tech’s home matches in October and the Jackets begin November with Virginia and Virginia Tech. Clemson (Nov. 14), Boston College (Nov. 22) and Syracuse round out Tech’s home contests.
