After nearly a month on the road, the No. 4 Georgia Tech Volleyball team returns to O’Keefe Gymnasium this weekend.
On Friday, the Yellow Jackets will take on the North Carolina Tar Heels at 7 p.m. With a 6-2 record, the Tar Heels are currently in third place in the conference standings, only two matches behind the Jackets. It should be an exciting match as five of the last seven contests have gone down to the fifth and final game. In addition, Tech is currently on a 19 match home winning streak in O’Keefe and the last team to defeat them was North Carolina.
It’s Jam the Gym night and t-shirts will be handed out to the first 500 fans and “Point Tech” cards will be available for the first 1,000 fans. Also, fans can vote on their favorite pumpkin carved by members of the Georgia Tech volleyball team.
Saturday night, Tech will host the Wolfpack of NC State at 7 p.m. The Jackets swept the Wolfpack earlier this year in Raleigh and has not lost to NC State since the 1999 season.
There will be a special Halloween Costume Contest that night and the best costume will win an exciting Georgia Tech prize pack.
At both matches this weekend, fans may register to win two tickets to the Georgia football game on Nov. 29 which will be given away at the Georgia vs. Georgia Tech volleyball match on Nov. 12th.
As always, ticket prices are $4 for adults and $2 for students. For groups of 10 or more, tickets may be purchased for $2 by contacting Kevin Olivett in the marketing office at 404-894-6265.
