Van Heuven Finishes Seventh in Pentathlon at ACC Indoor Championships

BLACKSBURG, Va. – Senior Alexandra Van Heuven finished seventh in the pentathlon with a personal-record score of 3,467 points to lead the Georgia Tech women’s track and field team at the Atlantic Coast Conference Indoor Championships on Thursday night.

Van Heuven ran a time of 9.08 in the 60-meter high hurdles and posted a season-best mark of 5 feet, 3 ¾ inches, in the high jump. The Burke, Va., native tallied a mark of 17 feet, 11 ¾ inches, in the long jump, threw the shot put 37 feet, 8 inches, and finished the 800 meters with a time of 2:47.15.

Day two of the indoor ACC meet will be on Friday, beginning at Noon. Live stats for the meet will be run by Virginia Tech on its Website.
