Georgia Tech junior offensive guard Omoregie Uzzi was named preseason first team All-ACC and redshirt freshman running back Charles Perkins was listed as the ACC Preseason Newcomer of the Year by Blue Ribbon Yearbook.
Blue Ribbon, which released its preseason ACC honors on Thursday, is a respected publication but is not the official preseason All-ACC team (selected July 25 at the ACC Kickoff).
Uzzi was a second team All-ACC selection in 2010 after helping the Yellow Jackets lead the nation in rushing offense for the first time in school history.
Perkins redshirted last year and enters August listed second on the depth chart at B-back behind senior Preston Lyons.
