Udofia to Play in Reese's® Division I College All-Star Game

THE FLATS – Georgia Tech graduating senior Mfon Udofia has been invited to play in the 2013 Reese’s® Division I College All-Star game, which will be played as part of the 2013 NCAA® Division I Men’s Basketball Championship and NCAA Final Four®. Reese’s® Peanut Butter Cups are the official candy partner of the NCAA.

The rosters for the East and West teams were announced Tuesday by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC). Udofia, who completed his eligibility at Tech with the 2012-13 season, is on the roster for the West team.

The Reese’s Division I College All-Star game will be played on Friday, April 5, at 5 p.m. (EDT), at the Georgia Dome, the site of this week’s championship games as the NCAA celebrates 75 years of March Madness®. The teams are composed of 11 senior student-athletes from NCAA Division I programs across America.

The Reese’s All-Star game will feature a pair of outstanding coaches who played in the 1995 All-Star game. Iowa State coach Fred Hoiberg will coach the West All-Stars and Tennessee coach Cuonzo Martin will coach the East All-Stars.

Udofia, a 6-2 guard from Stone Mountain, Ga., who attended Miller Grove High School, scored 977 points, averaging 7.6 points for his career while playing in 128 games, second-most all-time at Georgia Tech. He finished his career 18th on Tech’s career list for assists (283) and 14th in three-point field goals (117).

He posted career-best numbers in three-point percentage (34.5 pct.) and assist/turnover ratio (1.72/1) while leading the Yellow Jackets to a 16-15 record during his senior year.
