Tucker and Willer Ranked in Back-to-Back Softball America Position Rankings

THE FLATS – Georgia Tech softball (20-20, 5-10 ACC) saw Gracyn Tucker and Alyssa Willer received another monthly recognition as they were ranked in the April edition of Softball America’s Position Rankings, as was announced by the association at the beginning of the month. Willer was ranked 12th among all outfielders while first baseman Tucker was ranked 13th.

Both Tucker and Willer stand as the only two Yellow Jackets to have started all 40 games this season and two of four players to have seen action in every game. The pair make up a combined 62 runs, 93 runs, 17 doubles, 19 home runs, 75 RBI, and 171 total bases.

Tucker was ranked amongst four other ACC third basemen in the latest Softball America Position Rankings. After two months of action, Tucker’s red-shirt sophomore season has seen 30 runs, 48 hits, nine doubles, two triples, 12 home runs, 41 RBI, and 97 total bases. In her most recent outings, Tucker hit the 100-career hits mark in game three against Louisville and surpassed the 25-career home run mark with two home runs in Tech’s dominant 15-2 five-inning midweek win over Mercer.

Willer was one of five ACC outfielders to be ranked, the second highest of all ACC outfielders for the month of April. The sophomore currently helps lead the Yellow Jackets’ offense with 32 runs, 45 hits, eight doubles, seven home runs, 34 RBI, and 74 total bases.
