ATLANTA – The Georgia Tech track and field teams will host the Georgia Tech Invitational this Friday and Saturday, May 13-14, at the Georgia C. Griffin Track.
Junior Chaunte Howard will jump for the Yellow Jackets in preparation for her fourth consecutive national championship in the women’s high jump.
Senior Brian Ford will also be on display at the outdoor meet, competing in the 200- and 400-meter dash events. Ford holds Tech’s top times in both those events.
Senior Montrell Person will showcase his talents in the 110-meter high hurdles in his preperation to try and repeat his All-America honors in that event at the outdoor NCAA Championships.
Tech’s trio of Dana Rogers, Fatmata Fofanah and Shantia Moss will compete in the women’s 100m hurdles at the Griffin Track. Rogers, a senior from East Point, Ga., holds the top time for the Jackets in this event. Fofanah, a sophomore from Bronx, N.Y., won the ACC title in the 100m hurdles and Moss finished second at the outdoor ACC meet.
Senior distance competitior Kyle Rabbitt will also compete in his final meet at Georgia Tech after earning All-ACC honors in the 10,000 meters this past April.
