ATLANTA — Depending on where Georgia Tech football fans live, they may receive season ticket renewal forms as soon as Saturday after they were mailed out on Friday.
Most season tickets this season are again $260, but director of ticket operations Maja Hansen said a new program is available offering $180 “Gold Zone” ducats for a six-game schedule in Bobby Dodd Stadium.
“We’re going to call the area in the upper North [stands] the Gold Zone, from the walkway up,” said Hansen. “With the offense that we run, I hear from a lot of people, that it is fun to watch from the end zone as plays unfold.”
Hansen encouraged most renewing fans to re-up online, where they can take care of business 24 hours a day, and still receive official notification of the transaction.
Any one interested in increasing or increasing the number of season tickets purchases should contact the ticket office (1-888-TECH-TIX) by phone or visit.
A great deal more information on the process, including news for fans who want to change the location of their seats, will appear in the information being mailed today.
Most importantly, the renewal deadline will be April 16, and fans will have until mid-June to pay in installments should they choose.
“We expect a high rate of renewals based on last season [when the Jackets were ACC champs],” Hansen said. “There [will be] a map on-line indicating which sections are at maximum capacity.”
