Three Student-Athletes Named to All-ACC Women's Indoor Track & Field Academic Team

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Three members of the Georgia Tech women’s track & field team have been named to the All-Atlantic Coast Conference Academic Women’s Indoor Track & Field Team as announced today by ACC commissioner John Swofford. The three Yellow Jackets to earn the honor are senior Tiffany Grant, junior Joanna Wright and sophomore Jasmine Isley.

Grant and Wright both earn the honors for the second time in their careers, while Isley garners All-ACC academic honors for the first time in her career. Wright was also one of the 12 honorees who were All-ACC selection at the Indoor Championships in February.

Selections for the All-ACC Academic team must have earned a 3.0 GPA during the fall semester and for their careers, with selection based on athletic merit.

The Georgia Tech women’s track & field squad returns to action this weekend at the 2010 ACC Outdoor Championships in Clemson, S.C. Competition gets underway on Thursday morning with the javelin throw, decathlon and heptathlon, discus throw, and 10,000-meter run.
