THE FLATS – Long-time rivals Georgia Tech and North Carolina meet for the 51st time on
the gridiron Saturday at Bobby Dodd Stadium. The Yellow Jackets lead the all-time series 28-19-3, have won eight straight in the series at home and 14 of the last 17 overall. The game is live on ESPNU, and can be heard on the Georgia Tech IMG Sports Network, locally on 680 The Fan and 93.7 FM.

HONORARY CAPTAIN: RYAN STEWART
Ryan Stewart, a four-year letterwinner for Georgia Tech from 1992-95, will be Saturday’s honorary captain. He was team captain in 1995 and graduated from Tech with his bachelor’s degree in business management. Currently, Ryan is the host of Game Day Live (CBS 46), a weekly program with focus on the Atlanta Falcons. Ryan is very active in the community and gives back through various memberships and affiliations. He is the co-founder and president of The 2LiveStews Foundation, which provides academic and social support to African-American males in grades K-12.
GEICO ALUMNI ATHLETE OF THE GAME: JEREMIAH ATTAOCHU
San Diego Chargers OLB Jeremiah Attaochu is Saturday’s Geico Alumni Athlete of the Game. Attaochu is one of Georgia Tech’s all-time greats on the defensive side of the ball. He holds school records for career sacks (31.5) and career sack yards (226), and he won multiple individual awards including All-American honors in 2013.
