ATLANTA – Georgia Tech junior Kyle Rabbitt will compete in the NCAA Cross Country Championships on Monday at the Byres Park/Irv Warren Memorial Golf Course in Waterloo, Iowa. The Championships are hosted by Northern Iowa and will be broadcast on tape-delay by Fox Sports South.
Rabbitt earned all-region honors with a fourth-place finish in the NCAA South Regional in a time of 30:25.11 to advance to the Championships. He was one of 38 individuals to qualify for the race as a total of 255 competitors will be running the ten-kilometer event.
Rabbitt finished in the top-11 in all four races that he competed in this season, including three top-five finishes and the victory at the Auburn Invitational. After beginning the season as the second Tech finisher at the Wake Forest Alumni Invitational, Rabbitt led Tech in each of his next three races.
Because he red-shirted last year, Rabbitt still has one year of eligibility remaining following the Championships on Monday.
