ATLANTA – The Georgia Tech women’s tennis team will put its three-match unbeaten streak on the line this week when it hosts both South Carolina and ACC foe Wake Forest at the Bill Moore Tennis Center.

The Yellow Jackets (6-2, 1-0 ACC) will face the 24th-ranked Gamecocks (8-1) on Wednesday at 2 p.m., the match was originally scheduled for Thursday, and then will square off with the Demon Deacons (1-12, 0-1 ACC) on Saturday at 11 a.m.

Sophomore Catherine Gunn, who has taken over the top spot in the singles lineup and recorded two consecutive wins against both Furman and NC State this past weekend, is currently leading Tech. She owns a 14-10 overall singles record in 2003 and a 5-3 mark in dual-match action. Gunn has also been one of the Jackets’ top doubles players, holding a 15-4 record on the year and a perfect 8-0 record in the spring in dual matches. Six of those wins came with partner Maria Nieto, while the past two have been with Sekita Grant at No. 2 in the lineup.

Senior Jaime Wong, who is currently the 55th-ranked singles player in the nation and has won two-straight matches and holds a 16-6 overall record in singles competition on the year, has followed Gunn in the lineup. Rookie Kelly Anderson has also been a mainstay in the middle of the lineup and has lost only one match since arriving on campus at the start of the spring campaign.

Tech added the services of a pair of players over the weekend as senior Mysti Morris and freshman transfer Kacie Anson joined the lineup. Morris had been sidelined for the start of the spring with an injury, but picked up a win against Furman on Saturday, while Anson transferred at the start of the semester from Kentucky.
