Aug. 11, 2005

ATLANTA – Georgia Tech rising seniors Jessica Williams and Cheytoria Phillips, along with sophomore Giuliett Ancora are three of 40 Yellow Jackets named to the 2004-05 Atlantic Coast Conference Honor Roll. Also joining Williams, Phillips and Ancora on the Honor Roll was two-sport standout Lauren Sauer, who earned all-ACC honors in volleyball in 2004 before joining the women’s basketball team in January.

The 49th annual ACC Academic Honor Roll, announced by Commissioner John D. Swofford is comprised of those student-athletes who participated in a varsity-level sport and registered a grade point average of 3.0 or better for the full academic year.

The ACC Honor Roll includes four of the top five players on the Yellow Jackets’ women’s tennis team, which reached the NCAA Sweet 16 for the first time as all-America Kristi Miller is joined by Kelly Anderson, Alison Silverio and Lyndsay Shosho.

Led by all-ACC outfielder Steven Blackwood, seven players from the Tech baseball team, the NCAA Atlanta Regional champions, made the ACC Honor Roll, including Jordan Crews, Tim Gustafson, Lee Hyde, Jake Hall, Cameron Lane and Ryan Turner.
