ABC Exercises Six-Day Option, Game Time to Be Determined Oct. 9
ATLANTA – ABC-TV has exercised its six-day option in choosing an Atlantic Coast Conference game to televise on Oct. 14, leaving the kickoff time for Georgia Tech’s Homecoming game with Wake Forest unsettled, but it will be either 12 noon or 1 p.m.
Because of ABC’s delay, which they are contractually allowed in certain cases, ESPN and Jefferson-Pilot Sports must wait to make their choices next Monday as well. Tech’s game with Wake Forest will either be televised by JP Sports at 12 noon, or will not be televised at all and kick off at 1 p.m. An announcement regarding TV and kickoff time for the Wake Forest game will come next Monday, Oct. 9.
Tech also expects to learn the kickoff time and possible television coverage for the Oct. 21 game with Duke next Monday as well.
