Tech Volleyball Announces 2007 TV/Radio/ACC Select Schedule

ATLANTA – The 2007 Georgia Tech volleyball team will have three home matches televised on SportSouth, 10 matches that can be found on ACC Select, and a total of 18 matches that can be heard on WREK-Radio this season.

The Yellow Jackets’ matches against Virginia, Maryland and Duke will be broadcast on SportSouth on a tape-delay basis. Georgia Tech had three matches broadcast on television a season ago, including a thrilling five-game match against the Blue Devils on a night when the Yellow Jackets raised more than $6,000 to fight the cause of breast cancer in October. The matches that will be broadcast this season include:

Ten home matches, including all three that are scheduled to be televised, will be available on ACC Select, the Atlantic Coast Conference’s premier online video resource. Fans interested in viewing Georgia Tech matches both live and on-demand can go to gatech.playonsports.tv for more information on signing up for the service. At least 40 Georgia Tech events, including volleyball, men’s and women’s basketball, and baseball will be featured on ACC Select in 2007. The Yellow Jackets can also be heard on WREK-Radio (91.1 FM in Atlanta), the 40,000-watt student radio station on the campus of Georgia Tech. Kurt Hoyt is in his sixth season broadcasting the Yellow Jackets’ volleyball matches, and he will be joined by Melissa (Jenkins) Snipes on the broadcast this season. A total of 17 matches will be broadcast on WREK in 2007, including the following:
