ATLANTA – During the weekend of February 24-26, the Georgia Tech men’s and women’s track and field teams will head to Blacksburg, Va. for the 2011 ACC Indoor Track and Field Championships. The meet is hosted by Virginia Tech and will be held at the Rector Field House.

The Jackets are coming off of a successful final tune up at the Tiger Paw Invitational during the weekend of February 11 and 12, where a lot of season best times were set.

Last season at the ACC Championships, the men’s squad finished in seventh place, while the women netted a tie for eighth place after three days of competition.

On the track side of things, the mile will once again start the day off, this time at Noon. The events will be run on the same schedule as the previous day, but the 3,000m run and 4x400m relay will conclude the final day.

The ACC Championship awards ceremony will wrap up the meet at 4 p.m.
