ATLANTA – Georgia Tech, which gained the No. 11 seed by after defeating Wake Forest on Saturday, will open play in the 59th annual Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament at 9 p.m. Thursday night against No. 6 Miami.
The Yellow Jackets (11-19, 4-12 ACC) have won two of their last three games to finish the regular season. Miami (18-11, 9-7) wound up as the No. 6 seed after defeating Boston College Saturday.
The Hurricanes won the only regular season meeting between the two teams this season, taking a 64-49 win over the Jackets on Jan. 24 at Philips Arena.
