Tech Softball Hosts Wallace Dothan in Fall Game

Oct. 20, 2005

ATLANTA – The Georgia Tech softball team will host Wallace Dothan Community College in a fall contest on Saturday, Oct. 22, at Glenn Field. The seven inning game is scheduled for 1 p.m.

“This is a great time for us to work on some situations,” said head coach Ehren Earleywine. “It gives the coaching staff a chance to see what the newcomers can do in a game situation.”

The Yellow Jackets return All-ACC performers Amy Hosier (outfield), Aileen Morales (second base), Caitlin Lever (outfield) and Christine Sheridan (shortstop) from a season ago. The Jackets have seven position starters returning to the lineup and two pitchers; Sarah Wood 15-4) and Whitney Humphreys (8-1).

The Jackets will continue fall practice throughout October. Tech is still trying to makeup the scheduled fall game against Young Harris College, cancelled on Oct. 8.
