THE FLATS – Georgia Tech is set to host the 2022 ITA Southeast Regionals, Oct. 12-17, at the Ken Byers Tennis Complex. The five-day tournament is one of 12 regional championships occurring around the country leading up to the culmination of the fall tournament season.
Georgia Tech will be represented by Kylie Bilchev, Alejandra Cruz, Rosie Garcia Gross, Mahak Jain, Carol Lee, Ruth Marsh and Kate Sharabura. The Yellow Jackets will also enter three doubles teams in the tournament in Lee/Sharabura, Bilchev/Cruz and Jain/Marsh.

WHO: Athletes from 17 different schools will be competing in an individual singles and doubles tournament
WHEN: Thursday-Monday, Oct. 12-17

PARKING: Fans attending the tournament can park in the Family Housing Deck (E66) located on 10th Street. Overflow parking will be available in the W23 lot on State Street for an hourly fee.

-The singles champions and finalists and doubles champions from each ITA Division I Regional Championships receive automatic entry into the 2022 ITA National Fall Championships
-The 2022 ITA National Fall Championships will be held Nov. 2-6 at the Barnes Tennis Center in San Diego, Calif.

Draws
-Qualifying draws will be available late Wednesday; Main Draws will be available Thursday after the conclusion of qualifying play
-All Qualifying matches will be held Thursday with two rounds of singles and two rounds of doubles
-There will not be a Qualifying Consolation
-The Main Draw features 64 singles players and 32 doubles teams
-There will be consolation draw for first round main draw losers
Daily Schedule
–Thursday, Oct. 13 – Qualifying Draw – 2 round of doubles, 2 rounds of singles
-Singles begin at 9 a.m. followed by doubles at approximately 1 p.m.
–Friday, Oct. 14 – Main Draw – Doubles round of 32, Singles rounds of 64 and 32
-Play begins 9 a.m. with one round of doubles followed by two rounds of singles
–Saturday, Oct. 15 – Main Draw – Doubles round of 16 and quarterfinals, Singles round of 16; Consolation
-Play begins 9 a.m. with two rounds of doubles followed by one round of singles. Consolation all day.
–Sunday, Oct. 16 – Main Draw – Singles quarterfinals and semifinals, doubles semifinals; Consolation
-Play begins 9 a.m. with two rounds of singles followed by one round of doubles. Consolation all day.
–Monday, Oct. 17 – Main Draw – Singles and Doubles Finals; Consolation Singles and Doubles Finals
-Play begins at 9 a.m.
Format & Scoring
-No-ad scoring will be used in all ITA singles and doubles matches
-Singles will be 2-out-of-3 sets except Consolation and Qualifying which will play a 10-point Match Tiebreak in lieu of a third set
-In all ITA Regional Championship events, a doubles match must consist of a minimum of an 8-game pro set (tiebreak at 7-all)
