Tech Preps for FAU Fun Invite

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Georgia Tech swimming and diving continues its Winter Training in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. when it competes in the non-scoring FAU Fun Invitational on Thursday, Dec. 20. Competition is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m.

The Yellow Jackets’ 20th-ranked men’s team will take on FAU, Old Dominion, Bucknell, and Denver (receiving votes) – who Georgia Tech will also host at McAuley Aquatic Center on Jan. 25-26.

The Tech women’s team will battle FAU, Old Dominion, Bucknell, Denver, Colorado State, Northern Arizona, Northeastern, Rice and Campbell.

Thursday’s meet will be the first action that the Yellow Jackets have seen as a team since its own invitational concluded on Nov. 17. The men’s team finished third over then-No. 12 Alabama and No. 16 Virginia Tech while the women’s team finished eighth overall. Since then, Tech individually has had Clay Hering and Tim Slanschek compete at Winter Nationals in Greensboro, N.C. and Caio Pumputis battle at FINA SC Worlds in China.
