ATLANTA — Georgia Tech, which is coming off an 8-4 record in 1999 and its third consecutive bowl appearance, has sold more than 20,000 season tickets for the 2000 campaign, and its 8,500-ticket allotment for the Nov. 25 game at Georgia is already sold out.
At this time, tickets for Tech’s Sept. 9 game against defending national champion Florida State at Bobby Dodd Stadium are available only by buying a season ticket, which is $160. Single game tickets can be purchased for the Yellow Jackets’ other five home games against Central Florida (Sept. 2, $25), Navy (Sept. 16, $25), Wake Forest (Oct. 14, $25), Duke (Oct. 21, $25) and Virginia (Nov. 9, $30).
The Yellow Jackets, 25-11 over the past three seasons, are attempting to reach a bowl game for the fourth consecutive year for the first time since the middle 1950’s.
