ATLANTA (Dec. 10) – Georgia Tech’s men’s and women’s indoor track and field teams captured seven total first places in the Wildcat Speed Meet Friday, held in Kentucky’s Nutter Field House in Lexington, Ky.

The men’s team took five firsts, while the women’s team won two firsts in a meet designed just for field events and the short and middle distance running events. Tech also registered 10 placements of either second, third or fourth place.

The men’s 4×400 relay team picked up where it left off last summer after placing fifth in the NCAA Outdoor Championship meet. The Yellow Jacket women received first place efforts from junior Alisha McClinton (Baltimore, Md.) and junior Nicole Campbell (Ventura, Calif.). McClinton won the 60 meters by .06-one hundredths of a second in 7.62 seconds. Campbell won the 800 meters with a time of 2:20.59.
