THE FLATS – Georgia Tech swimming and diving will travel to Wilmington, N.C. for a matchup against UNC Wilmington and Campbell University on Saturday, Oct. 8 at 11 a.m. Both the men and women will face off against UNCW, but only the women will compete against Campbell.
Last weekend, Tech hosted Emory for its first collegiate meet of the 2022-23 season. The Jackets dominated the Eagles and earned a 339-141 team win. The meet was highlighted by senior Ruben Lechuga who broke two school records and took home first place in the men’s 1 Meter and 3 Meter dives
After their performance against Emory, Tech garnered two conference honors. Lechuga was named Men’s ACC Diver of the Week and Anna Bradescu earned Women’s ACC Co-Diver of the Week. Bradescu championed both the women’s 1 Meter and 3 Meter dives.
Batur Ünlü, Brooke Switzer and Deniz Ertan also led Tech with multiple wins each in the swimming events.
On Saturday, the Jackets will compete in 16 events against UNCW and Campbell. The meet will begin with the men’s and women’s 400 medley relays.
