THE FLATS – Georgia Tech football’s Atlantic Coast Conference home game versus Boston College on Saturday, Oct. 21 will kick off at noon and be televised nationally on ACC Network, the conference and its television partners announced on Monday.
Gameday on The Flats will begin with Helluva Block Party Driven by Hyundai beginning at 8 a.m. (North Avenue closes to traffic at 6 a.m. and parking lots open at 7 a.m.). Following Yellow Jacket Alley at 9:30 a.m., four-time Grammy Award nominee Mickey Guyton will be in concert to energize and entertain fans leading up to kickoff. Helluva Block Party wraps up at 11:30 a.m., with kickoff inside Bobby Dodd Stadium at Hyundai Field set for noon.
The game also falls on Georgia Tech’s annual Hall of Fame weekend. The 2022 and 2023 inductees to the Georgia Tech Sports Hall of Fame – including Tech football legends Andrew Gardner, Joshua Nesbitt and the late Demaryius Thomas – will be honored during the contest.
Georgia Tech (3-3, 2-1 ACC) and Boston College (3-3, 1-2 ACC) are squaring off for the 12th time overall and the seventh time since BC joined the ACC in 2005. The Yellow Jackets lead the all-time series, 7-4.
The Jackets and Eagles both have byes this week leading up to their Oct. 21 showdown on The Flats.
