Tech Basketball Has Four Current Players Named to Dean's List

May 22, 2006

ATLANTA – Four current members of the Georgia Tech women’s basketball team, along with two former players whose careers were cut short by injury, have been named to the Dean’s List for the 2006 spring semester, Georgia Tech head coach MaChelle Joseph announced Monday.

Graduating seniors Megan Harpring and April Johnson, along with fourth-year seniors Cheytoria Phillips, president of the 2005-06 Georgia Tech Athlete Advisory Board, and Ashley Guerrant, whose college basketball career was cut short after suffering a back injury, were among the total of six players that learned they earned the honor in May.

Joining the four Yellow Jacket seniors to receive Dean’s List recognition are rising senior Kentrina Wilson, a native of Deerfield Beach, Florida, and rising junior Giuliett Ancora, an Australia native that will be returning to the squad in 2006-07 after suffering a torn ACL prior to the beginning of the 2005-06 season.

Harpring, Phillips, Guerrant, Wilson and Ancora were all named to the Dean’s List during the Fall, 2005 semester.
