Stowers and Miller Named Georgia Tech Student-Athletes of the Week

Evan Stowers and Kristi Miller were named Georgia Tech Student-Athletes of the Week for Monday, March 27, 2006.

Stowers, a sophomore from Independence, Ky., recorded a seventh place finish at the NCAA Championships to become the first diver in school history to earn all-America honors. Stowers scored 310.70 points on the platform to help the Yellow Jackets score 12 points and finish in 33rd place in the team standings.

Miller, a sophomore from Marysville, Mich., helped the women’s tennis team to wins over three ranked teams, including two conference victories against No. 31 Maryland and No. 61 Boston College. The nation’s top ranked singles player won three of four singles matches, and also three of four doubles matches, all at the No. 1 position.
