ATLANTA – Georgia Tech senior diver Stephanie England has been named the ACC Swimming & Diving Women’s co-Performer of the Week, the league office announced today. England won both the three-meter and platform events at the LSU Invitational over the weekend. England, who is the recipient of the award for the first time in her career, shares the honor with Claire Crippen of Virginia.
Going up against two of the top diving schools in the country in LSU and Auburn, England won two of the weekend’s three events. She edged out LSU’s Paige Brown 238.25-236.55 to win the platform event. She posted scores of 42.00, 49.60, 54.00, 47.85 and 44.80 in her five dives. That time on the platform was the second-highest in the league thus far this season.
In the three-meter event, England topped teammate Hannah Krimm by just over 10 points, 309.20-298.70. That is the high-score for any ACC diver so far this season. She used scores of 49.20, 57.00, 57.40, 43.20, 45.00 and 57.40 to win the event.
In the one-meter event, England finished third.
