Team Notes
… Georgia Tech broke a school single-game record that had stood 47 years. Tech’s 173 interception return yards smashed the school record of 139 yards set vs. Tulane back on Oct. 22, 1966. (The NCAA record is 240 yards set by Kentucky vs. Ole Miss in 1949 when the Wildcats recorded six interceptions)
… Georgia Tech’s first shutout since beating Duke 27-0 Oct. 4, 2008 in Atlanta, Ga.
… Georgia Tech tied a school record with two interceptions returned for a touchdown in one game. It’s only the third time in modern Tech history that the Yellow Jackets have had two INT returns for TDs in a game (also vs. Samford in 2006 and vs. Tulane in 1966)
