General

2006-07

> Named a co-captain following Tech[apos]s regular-season finale against Boston College … One of two returning players to begin the season in the starting lineup, and the only player to start every game … Averaged 7.3 rebounds over his last eight games, including 10 in Tech[apos]s NCAA Tournament loss to UNLV.

> Tech[apos]s fourth-leading scorer (8.3 points per game) and leading rebounder (5.9 per game) … Notched his only other double-figure rebound game of the season Feb. 3 against Clemson (had 10 last year) … Tied for 15th in the ACC in rebound average.

> Scored most of his points close to the basket (team-high 59.6 percent, 56.0 percent vs. the ACC) … Not known for shooting the three, but had two key ones in ACC games, one vs. Duke on Jan. 10 and one at Florida State on Feb. 13 with 31 seconds left in the game that gave the Jackets a 57-50 lead.

> Averaged 7.4 points and 5.6 rebounds in ACC games … Had 29 assists and 30 steals in the last 17 games, moving up to 10th in the ACC in steals per game.

> Scored double-digits in 14 games, including a season-best 21 against No. 11 Memphis in the Maui Invitational … Averaged 11.0 points and 8.3 rebounds in three games at the EA Sports Maui Invitational, hitting 52.4 percent of his field goals and 68.8 percent of his free throws.

2005-06

> Recorded nine double-doubles, second-most in the ACC, four of those in ACC games … Struggled at the end of the season, however, scoring 10 total points and grabbing 10 rebounds in three games after the Duke contest.

> Started three of Tech[apos]s last four games, 23 overall and 12 vs. ACC teams.

> Ranked fifth in the ACC at 8.2 rebounds per game, and had 10 double-digit rebound games for the year … Tech[apos]s best offensive rebounder, 87 of his 230 total came off the offensive glass, and he averaged 3.11 per game (fifth-best in the league).

> Scoring average of 11.0 ppg was third-best for Tech (14 double-digit scoring games) … Shot 49.1 percent for the season, fourth-best on the team (46.1 percent in ACC games) … Averaged 9.8 points and 7.9 rebounds in ACC games during the regular season, with seven of 16 games in double figures for points.

> Averaged 12.5 points and 7.3 rebounds in eight games vs. top-25 teams, hitting 55.9 percent of his field goals.

> Came very close to recording Tech[apos]s first triple-double since 1989 against Tennessee State, piling up eight assists … Had his eight assists with 11 minutes left in that game.

> His 166 free throw attempts were 65 more than the No. 2 player on Tech[apos]s team (Ra[apos]Sean Dickey), but made just 54.8 percent of them … Went 9-for-21 at Georgia (21 attempts were one off the Tech record), then was 10-for-10 in the next game against Tennessee State.

2004-05

> Sidelined from Nov. 26 until Feb. 8 after dislocating his right kneecap with 1:24 left in Tech[apos]s game with UALR (third game of the season).

> Did not have surgery, but underwent a rehab and treatment program and returned to practice on a limited basis in late January … Dressed at Duke on Feb. 2 and participated in pre-game warm-ups … Returned to action at Clemson on Feb. 8.

> Steadily became the force on the boards and on defense that Tech had expected at the beginning of the season … Averaged 3.1 points and 4.3 rebounds, with 12 assists, two blocks and six steals in the 12 games he played after returning from his injury … Even better in the seven games away from home during that stretch (3.6 ppg, 5.3 rpg, 10-13 FT).

> In the ACC Tournament, averaged 4.0 points and 4.7 rebounds, went 4-for-7 from the floor and 4-for-5 from the foul line.

> Averaged 6.8 rebounds in Tech[apos]s final four regular season games, leading the Jackets against Duke (6) and Miami (8) … Averaged more than 22 minutes in Tech[apos]s last four games.

High School

> One of the top players in Texas who scored more than 3,000 points in his prep career … Twice named all-state … Helped Dunbar High School in Fort Worth to a 101-6 record in his last three years … Led Dunbar to the Texas AAAA state title, posted a 37-1 record and finished No. 7 in the USA Today final prep rankings … Won MVP honors in the state tournament, and finished the season averaging 24.1 points, 8.5 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game … Scored 30 points in Dunbar[apos]s victory over Beaumont Ozen in the state finals … State player of the year by the Fort Worth Star-Telegram as a senior after averaging a career-best 26.1 points and 8.3 rebounds, but Dunbar made an early exit from the playoffs and finished 31-3 … Played for Robert Hughes, the winningest coach in U.S. high school history, earning a spot in the starting lineup as a ninth grader.
