Fourth nationally in hits among second baseman as of May 24…Led team in hits (81), doubles (17), at bats (237), stolen bases (13), multiple-hit games (26), three-hit games (11) and total bases (120), while he was tied for first in runs scored (48), second in batting average (.342), tied for second in triples (2), third in on-base percentage (.410) and among regulars third in slugging percentage (.506)…Set or equaled career bests in 15 of 19 primary offensive categories…Had a pair of double-digit hit streaks of 15 (March 9 – April 4) and 10 (April 6-21) games, as well as a string of 16 straight games without an error (March 21 – April 15)…Ranked as the nation’s No. 4 second baseman heading into the season by DIBaseball

Named to the All-Pac-12 First Team, one of just five freshman on the 32 person squad along with teammate PJ Moutzouridis…Played in and started 54 of the team’s 55 games at second base…Led Cal with a .325 average (69-for-212), while he was second on team in both runs scored (44) and hits (69)…Added 31 RBI…Slashed .325/.404/.458…Hit .336 (41-for-122) in Pac-12 play – which also led the team…His 41 hits in conference play was tied for first on the team…His 69 hits are seventh most all-time by a freshman at Cal…He was one of the toughest players in the nation to strike out – averaging a strikeout every 13.3 at bats which led the Pac-12 and was 15th best in the nation…Had more multiple-hit games (18) than strikeouts (16)…Had 16 extra base hits (nine doubles, two triples, five home runs)…Hit .356 (16-for-46) with runners in scoring position…Had Cal’s longest hitting streak of the campaign with a 19-gamer that began on Mar. 5 at Stanford and continued through Apr. 7 at Arizona…Cal went 21-10 when he hit in the leadoff spot or 2-hole including 9-1 as a leadoff hitter…Hit .323 (42-for-130) when batting first or second in the order…Boasted a .978 fielding percentage, committing just four errors in 184 total chances with 61 putouts and 119 assists…Of his 18 multiple hit games nine were two hit games, eight were three hit games, he also had one four hit game…Went 4-for-7 with three runs scored, a home run and an RBI in two games played at the Pac-12 Tournament.
