2024-25 ACC Academic Honor Roll
2025 (Junior): Made 14 appearances and a career-high five starts with a 2-1 record and a 4.05 ERA in his first year on The Flats…Struck out a career-best 32 batters over the course of the year, making three starts on Sundays in ACC play from April 6-20…His 4.05 ERA was third-lowest on the team among pitchers with at least 10.0 innings pitched…Allowed only one earned run thorugh 5.0 innings of work in Tech’s Sunday victory at Stanford (April 6), securing the first sweep at Stanford by a team from east of the Mississippi River in the history of Stanford Baseball and Spivery’s second win as a Yellow Jacket…Threw a career-high 83 pitches over 5.0 innings in a start vs. Cal (April 13), allowing only one run and four hits but ultimately taking a no decision…Recorded a pair of strikeouts in 1.2 innings of the Oxford Regional against Murray State (May 31)…Delivered his first win of the seaon in a tense situation, coming out of the bullpen on Sunday at Virginia Tech (March 9), entering the game with two outs and runners at the corners right after VT had tied the game,6-6. He would induce an inning ending flyout before recording a strikeout to end the 8th with runners at second and third, allowing Tech to take the lead in the top of the ninth winning the game and the series…Tech’s most effective arm out of the bullpen, Spivey posted a team-best 1.59 ERA over 17.0 innings and nine appearances out of the pen striking out 23 while allowing only three earned runs and two extra base hits.
2024 (Sophomore – Notre Dame): Made 15 appearances with three starts and 27.2 innings of work while going 1-1 on the season … registered 24 strikeouts during the year with an 8.46 ERA … opened the season for the Irish as game one starter in what would eventually end in a 3-1 victory over Rice, retiring 9 of 13 batters he faced while striking out one over three innings of work (February 16) … posted back-to-back outings with four strikeouts over 5.0 innings over work combined against Virginia Tech and Radford (March 8; March 12) … wrung up at least one strikeout in each outing of 1.0 innings or more … tallied seven consecutive appearances with at least two strikeouts from March 8 through April 13
2023 (Freshman – Notre Dame): Appeared in 15 games, earning a start against Valparaiso (April 18) … posted a 4.11 ERA over 35.0 innings pitched, striking out 25 batters … allowed no extra-base hits in first seven game appearances (March 11-April 14) … allowed only two hits and no runs over 4.1 innings against Virginia (April 23) … pitched a career-long 4.2 innings versus Florida State (April 30) … struck out a career-high three batters against North Carolina (April 2), Florida State (April 30) and Akron (May 13)
High School: 2x All-Region First Team … 2x All-State First Team … 2021 Region 2A Pitcher of the Year … Six varsity letters earned in baseball (4) and football (2) … Son to Stacy Spivey and Eva Spivey and brother to Ansley and Brinley Spivey.
