2021 (Freshman): Limited to just nine appearances and seven starts due to preseason injury … Finished with a 5.58 ERA, one save and 1-3 record in 30.2 innings of work … Surrendered 19 earned runs on 29 hits, striking out 31 and walking 20 … Held opponents to a .244 batting average … Made his collegiate debut in two-inning start against Auburn (April 13), surrendering three runs on three hits with three strikeouts … Was dynamic in relief at then-No. 12 Virginia Tech (April 18), pitching 2.0 innings of one-hit baseball, striking out three for the save … Pitched 3.0 dominant innings of relief against then-No. 17 Florida State (April 25), allowing no runs, one hit and striking out four … Went a career-long 5.1 innings at Miami (Fla.) Personal: Is the son of former Atlanta Braves outfielder Marquis Grissom, who played 17 seasons in the Big Leagues, including 1995-96 with Atlanta, helping take the Braves to the 1995 World Series.
