2021 (Redshirt Sophomore): Made 18 appearance and 10 starts on the mound … Recorded a 6.00 ERA and 3-4 record … Allowed 34 earned runs in 51.0 innings, striking out 37 … Made his first collegiate start on Feb. 21 against Eastern Kentucky, going 6.0 innings with no earned runs, no walks, two hits and two strikeouts for the win … Got his second win at Wake Forest (March 21), allowing just one run on four hits in 6.0 innings … Allowed just one run on five hits, striking out three in 5.0 innings against Virginia (April 3) … Turned in another quality start at Notre Dame (April 11), allowing just two runs on five hits in 6.0 innings … Turned in his last start of the season against Florida State on April 25, pitched in relief the rest of the season … Pitched 2.0 shutout innings against Kennesaw State (May 1) and Clemson (May 7) … Picked up his third win of the season against Clemson (May 9), surrendering just one run on four hits in 2.0 innings, strikeout out two and walking none.
2020 (Sophomore): Made eight appearances as a major part of Tech’s bullpen during the shortened 2020 season … Finished with 9.2 innings of work, just two earned runs allowed and 14 strikeouts to the tune of a 1.86 ERA … Made his first collegiate appearance against St. John’s (Feb. 16), allowing just one hit in 0.2 innings … Pitched Tech to a comeback win over Georgia Southern (Feb. 18) with 1.1 innings of no-hit work … Earned his second win with 1.1 innings of work against Virginia Tech (March 7) … Also had no hit appearances against Gardner-Webb (Feb. 25), Virginia Tech (March 7) and Auburn (March 10) … Held opponents to a .167 batting average.
2018 (Freshman): Did not compete.
Before Tech: Lettered for five years in baseball at St. David’s School for head coach David Simmons in Raleigh, N.C. … Also lettered one year in cross country … Was the team captain his senior season … A two-time EPIC all-conference selection in 2017 and 2015 … Was awarded the team MVP and Warrior Award his senior season … Named the Rookie of the Year in 2013 … Helped his team win the EPIC conference championship in 2015 as a sophomore … Also lettered one year in cross country … Played summer baseball for the Carolina Pirates in 2017, the Rawlings Prospects in 2015-16 and the Evoshield Canes South in 2013-14 … A National Honor Society member … Also played trombone in the school band for seven years … Was a first-chair all-district honor band selection for the N.C. Central district.
Personal: Great-grandfather, Pat Crawford, played professional baseball for the St. Louis Cardinals from 1929-34 … Enjoys playing golf, racquetball and the trombone … Chose Tech because it has one of the nation’s best Aerospace Engineering programs, loves its location in Atlanta and the chance for an amazing career after graduation … Intends to major in aerospace engineering.
