2017-18 ACC Academic Honor Roll

2020 (Junior): Made two appearances in relief in the shortened 2020 season … Finished the season with 2.0 innings of work and a 4.50 ERA … Allowed just one run and run hit … Appeared against Ohio State (Feb. 23) and Tennessee Tech (March 3).

2019 (Sophomore): Made four appearances in relief and one start for the Jackets … Due to other injuries, started at eventual College World Series team Auburn (April 2), allowing the only three runs in Tech’s 9-3 win … Made three scoreless appearances out of the bullpen, including 2.0 shutout innings to start his collegiate career against Northwestern (March 1) … Also pitched a 1.0 inning shutout appearance against Notre Dame (March 29) … Struck out a season-high two batters at Boston College (April 12) … Made his final appearance of the year on May 3 when he no-hit Western Carolina (May 3) in 1.0 inning of work … Tech was 3-2 in games he appeared in.

2018 (Freshman): Made two appearances out of the bullpen for the Jackets … Did not allow a hit or a run over 1.1 innings of work, posting a 0.00 ERA on the year … Recorded three strikeouts on the season … Struck out two batters in one inning of work at home versus Mercer (March 21) … Also had a punch out versus No. 10 Duke (May 18).

Before Tech: A four-year letterwinner on the baseball team at North Gwinnett High School under head coach Ryan Moity … Ranked as high as No. 15 in the state of Georgia and No. 293 nationally among right-handed pitchers by Perfect Game … A 2017 Rawlings-Perfect Game honorable mention all-American … Named to the 2017 southeast all-region second team by Perfect Game … A 2016 Perfect Game underclassmen high honorable mention all-American his junior year after earning honorable mention accolades in 2015 as a sophomore … Three-time all-county selection … A two-time AAAAAAA all-state honoree from the Georgia Dugout Club … Holds the record for the most career wins on the mound at North Gwinnett High School … Led his team to a 35-4 overall record and a 17-1 regional record as a senior in 2016-17 … Totaled 11 wins and posted a 1.39 ERA in his senior year … Posted a 6-1 record in 10 appearances for North Gwinnett, turning in a 1.71 ERA over 49 innings of work his junior season … Played for Team Elite 17’s Prime that won the 2016 18U BCS Championship … Was named to the 2016 WWBA World Championship all-tournament team, the 2016 WWBA National Qualifier all-tournament team, both the 2016 WWBA SE Qualifier 1 and 2 all-tournament teams, the 2016 18U WWBA National Championship all-tournament team and the 2016 18U BCS Finals all-tournament team … An AP scholar and scholar athlete … Graduated with honors.

Personal: Has an older sibling … Father, Rob, graduated from Georgia Tech (1986) … Enjoys swimming and playing ping pong … Chose Tech because of the academics, his father is an alum and because it is close to home … Has not yet decided on a major.
