2020 (Junior): Made two starts at catcher and 10 appearances overall during the shortened 2020 season … Finished hitting .333 with two hits, a double and two RBI … Started against Tennessee Tech (March 3), going 2-for-3 with two RBI and also drawing a walk … Also started against Virginia Tech (March 7).
2019 (Sophomore): Appeared in 12 games, making two starts at catcher during the season … Drew four walks on the year, including two against then-No. 23 and eventual College World Series team Auburn (April 16) … Recorded a sac fly RBI against Western Carolina (May 3).
2018 (Freshman): Played in eight games off the bench for the Jackets on the year … Made one appearance out of the bullpen for Tech … Hit .250 on the season with one base hit and one RBI … Totaled 11 putouts behind the plate … Made his collegiate debut in the win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff (Feb. 27) … Recorded his first career hit and RBI with an RBI single at home against Arkansas-Pine Bluff (Feb. 27) … Drew a walk versus No. 6 Florida State (April 8) … Also had an at-bat at Georgia State (March 7), versus Kennesaw State (April 18) and against No. 10 Duke (May 18) … Made his debut on the mound with 1.0 inning versus No. 10 Duke (May 19), striking out one batter.
Before Tech: A two-sport athlete at Mill Creek High School … Lettered for four years in baseball for head coach Doug Jones … Also lettered and played quarterback for the football team for two years … Ranked as high as No. 8 overall at the catcher position and No. 46 overall in the state of Georgia in the class of 2017 by Perfect Game … Also ranked as high as No. 55 overall nationally at the catcher spot for the 2017 class by PG … A 2017 Rawlings-Perfect Game honorable mention all-American and a southeast all-region second team selection … A two-time Perfect Game underclassmen honorable mention all-American in both 2015 and 2016 … A two-time Georgia Dugout Preview Magazine Class AAAAAAA all-state team member … Also a three-time all-region selection in baseball … A two-time Gwinnett Daily Post all-county second team selection on the diamond … Participated in the 2016 Perfect Game National Showcase in which he ranked in the top-10 in both catcher throwing velocity and poptime … Was a member of the 2014 15U BCS Championship team, the 2014 WWBA 2017 Grads National Championship team and the 2014 15U Perfect Game-East Cobb Invitational Championship team … With the Georgia Jackets he was named to the 2016 17U Perfect Game-East Cobb Invitational all-tournament team, the 2016 18U Memorial Day at LakePoint all-tournament team, the 2015 16U Perfect Game World Series all-tournament team and the 2014 15U WWBA National Championship all-tournament team … Also a quarterback on the nationally ranked Mill Creek football team his junior and senior seasons … A team captain his senior year … A two-time first-team all-state, all-region and all-county selection in football … Led his team to back-to-back regional championship titles in 2015 and 2016 … Holds the school record for the most career touchdown passes, the most career passing yards and the most career passing attempts … Also has the school record for the longest touchdown pass … A four-year honor roll member … Graduated with honors.
Personal: Has two siblings … Father, Chuck, graduated from Georgia Tech (1998) … Enjoys fishing and playing video games … Chose Tech because of the chance for a great education, the athletic opportunities and the diverse atmosphere it offers … Intends to major in business administration.
