THE FLATS – Coming off a successful week at home, Georgia Tech softball is back on the road for week five on Tuesday, March 6, traveling to Athens, Ga., to take on in-state rival Georgia. The matchup is slated for 6 p.m. and will be broadcast on SEC Network+.
The Jackets went 6-1 in last week, moving to 11-7 overall. Senior Emily Anderson set the tone in the circle for the Jackets, making five appearances. Pitching 25.0 innings, the LaGrange, Ga. native allowed one run and leads the Atlantic Coast Conference in ERA with a mark of 0.98 on the season. She came away from the week with four wins and a save, throwing two shutouts.
Georgia leads the all-time series 29-10 and has taken the last nine meetings between the programs.
