MLB Draft: Drafted in the 37th round by the Los Angeles Dodgers (1121st overall) in 2019 but chose to attend Tech.
2021 (Freshman): Appeared in started in all 56 games in the outfield … Started the first 26 games in left field before finishing the season in center field due to teammate Colin Hall’s injury … Finished sixth on the team, hitting .279 for 57 hits, 16 doubles, one triple and three home runs for 27 RBI … Finished fourth in the ACC and second on the team with 44 walks … Recorded a .422 on-base percentage … Tallied 15 multi-hit games and eight multi-RBI games … Recorded three hits four times – vs. then-No. 1 Louisville (March 7), vs. Pitt (March 12), at Duke (March 28) and at Miami (May 14) … Laid down a crucial squeeze bunt single to score a key insurance run in the eighth inning of Game 3 against then-No. 1 Louisville (March 7) to secure the series win … Finished the Louisville series (March 5-7) with six hits, a double and two RBI … Went 3-for-5 at Miami (May 14) with two doubles and three RBI … Drew multiple walks 13 times on the season, including a season-best three against Eastern Kentucky (Feb. 20) and Georgia (May 18) … Finished 2-for-3 with a triple and two walks in his first career NCAA Regional game vs. Indiana State (June 4).
2020 (Freshman): Appeared in 13 games, making one start, in the shortened 2020 season … Hit .368 for the season with seven hits, two doubles and three RBI … Recorded a .455 on-base percentage … Made his collegiate debut in the season opener against St. Peter’s (Feb. 14) … Pinch hit a double at Georgia Southern (Feb. 18) before legging out a fielder’s choice RBI to tie the game in the ninth, keeping the game alive to allow teammate Michael Guldberg to hit the go-ahead single RBI … Exploded against Ohio State (Feb. 21) in his first collegiate start, finishing 3-for-5 with an RBI and scoring twice … Had his second career double against Gardner-Webb (Feb. 25) … Also had hits against then-No. 4 Georgia (March 1) and Virginia Tech (March 8).
Before Tech: The Perfect Game No. 3-ranked outfielder in Georgia and top-50 outfielder in the nation … Selected in the 37th round of the 2019 MLB Draft by the Los Angeles Dodgers … A 2019 PG First-Team Preseason All-Region for the southeast after earning honorable mention preseason underclassmen All-America honors in 2017 and 2018 … A 21-time All-Tournament selection in travel ball, including the 2019 WWBA 2019 18U National Championships … A four-year letterwinner at Mount Vernon Presbyterian … Named captain for his final two seasons … A three-time first-team all-region selection, three-time first-team all-state and three-time region player of the year … Also lettered for three years in tennis, being named a captain his senior season … Named to academic honor roll his freshman year before making dean’s list the final three years.
