Started all 58 games in centerfield … Hit safely in 47 games on the season, and has reached base safely in all but seven contests … Had a team-best 28 multi-hit games in addition to eight multi-RBI games to his credit … His .340 average was the third best on the team, while leading the team in sacrifices (5) for the second straight year … Stole 21 of 26 bases, the fourth-most swipes in the conference … Also scored a career-best 66 runs … Went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run in the season opener against Lipscomb (2/20) … Went 3-for-4 with a double and a triple in the following game against the Bisons (2/21) … Hit .500 (4-for-8) in the two-game series against Rutgers (2/28) … Posted a career-high five RBI against Maryland (3/7) with a three-run home run that followed a two-run double. … Collected two hits, including an RBI single and run-scoring double, to lead Tech to a 17-3 win over Mercer (3/10) … Had one hit, but reached base four times and scored a pair of runs against Kennesaw State (3/17) … Went 2-for-5 with a run scored the following night against the Owls (3/18) … Collected two hits in both the series opener (3/20) and the series finale (3/22) against Virginia Tech … Went 2-for-5 with a home run, two runs and two RBI in the series opener at No. 2 Miami (3/27) … Hit a leadoff homer in the first inning and went 3-for-5 with two RBI in Tech’s 10-6, 11-inning win over North Carolina (4/4) … Collected two hits in Tech’s 8-4 win over Georgia Southern (4/7) … Went 3-for-5 with a pair of runs scored in Tech’s 11-10 loss to Virginia (4/11) … Had a two-run triple in Tech’s 11-6 win at No. 1 Georgia (4/14) … Went 2-for-3 the following night at Georgia State (4/15) … Had nine hits in the three-game series against Wake Forest (4/17-19), going 9-for-16 (.563) with four runs and two RBI while hitting two doubles and a home run against the Demon Deacons … Went 4-for-10 with five runs scored in the two-game series against Western Carolina (4/21-22) … Hit the game-winning walk-off home run in the 10th inning against Presbyterian (5/3) … Hit two home runs in the series against Florida State (5/8-5/10) and scored the winning run in the bottom of the 9th inning of the series finale to help the Jackets win the series, 2-1 … Went 7-for-12 in Tech’s three-game series at Duke (5/14-16) … Hit 2-for-4 with an RBI and three runs scored in a 9-3 win over Georgia State (5/29) at the NCAA Atlanta Regional.

Started 53 games in centerfield, and played in 59 of Tech’s 62 contests on the year … Finished second on the team in batting average (.335) and stolen bases … Swiped 22 bases on 26 attempts … Led the team with 10 sacrifices on the year … Had 20 multi-hit and four mutli-RBI games … Served as the leadoff hitter in 24 games during the season and hit second in the lineup 23 times … Belted his first career home run with a two-run blast against Georgia Southern (2/26) … Went 3-for-5 with a pair of runs scored in the series opener against Rutgers (2/29) … Collected three hits – all infield singles – in Tech’s 2-1 win over Virginia Tech (3/9) … Went 2-for-2 with a pinch-hit RBI single and a run scored vs. Georgia State (3/12) … Hit .625 (5-for-8) with a triple and a home run in the three-game series against Duke (3/21-3/23) … Had four hits, including two doubles, and drove in two runs while scoring four times in a doubleheader at Boston College (3/29) … Went 2-for-3 with three walks and a career-high four runs scored at Georgia Southern (4/16) … Went 6-for-13 (.462) with a double, two runs and two RBI in the series at Maryland (4/18-4/20) … Collected a season-high four hits in five at-bats, scored three times and drove in a run in the series finale against Wake Forest (4/27) … Was a perfect 3-for-3 with a two-run home run in Tech’s ACC Championships game against Miami (5/22) … Went 2-for-5 with a pair of runs scored against Georgia (6/2) in the NCAA Athens Regional Championship.
High School
Four-year letterwinner at Greenbrier High School … Played one year for coach Rodney Holder after beginning his prep career under Ed Williams … Helped Greenbrier to the 2006 and 2007 AAAA State Championship as well as three region championships … A four-year all-area selection … Led Greenbrier with a .452 average in 2007 after hitting .411 his junior year … Had 10 home runs, 110 RBI, 110 runs scored and 74 stolen bases over his last two years at Greenbrier … Also helped his 2006 and 2007 Savannah Chain teams to back-to-back Barrett-Fletcher World Series titles.

Full name is Jeffrey Daniel Rowland … Born April 1, 1988 … Son of Jeff and Carole Rowland … Grandfather Wilton Rowland played in the minor leagues for the Cardinals organization in 1947 … Uncle Buddy Rowland played in the Independent League from 1947-48, where he was a catcher for Hoyt Wilhelm … Uncle Parker Rowland was a two-time All-American at West Georgia from 1980-1981 and a West Georgia Hall of Fame inductee in 2001 … Business management major at Georgia Tech.
