2014 (True Freshman): Stepped right into starting lineup as rookie and played in 54 games, with all 50 of starts coming at third base … Was rock solid defensively at hot corner, committing just five errors for impressive fielding percentage of .963 … Contributed to Tech’s school record for team fielding percentage (.974) and NCAA-leading 77 double plays … Hit .246 on season with 12 doubles and 16 RBI … Started at third and delivered RBI ground out in first career at bat on opening day … Had big night at Georgia Southern on Feb. 19, going 3-for-4 with two doubles, RBI, run and triggering double play … Was 3-for-11 with double, RBI and two runs in UNCG series — scored winning run in Friday’s win and drove in winning run with sac fly in Saturday’s win … Had two hits and drove in run versus Kennesaw State on Feb. 25 that extended hitting streak to five games … After missing two games with left wrist injury, returned to lineup versus Miami on March 15, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, two runs and matching career-high of two doubles … Was 2-for-4 at Kennesaw State on March 18 and scored run in Tech’s 8-7 win … His RBI double at Georgia State on March 19 put Jackets up for good in sixth inning … Had hit in each game of Duke series and scored in each game … Was 2-for-3 with walk in Tech’s 5-1 win on April 5 vs. Duke and scored the eventual winning run … His single on April 6 broke up Duke’s perfect game bid and eventually scored that inning as game’s only run in Tech’s 1-0 victory that swept series … Was 2-for-4 and matched career high of two runs in win over Georgia Southern on April 8 … Had three hits, two doubles, three RBI and scored twice in series win over No. 1 Florida State … Was on base three times and scored career-high three runs in Tech’s 13-6 win in 12 innings at Maryland on April 20 … Singled to lead off sixth inning and eventually scored Tech’s only run in 1-0 win at NC State on April 25 thanks to Matt Gonzalez’s RBI single … Doubled and drew walk in 2-0 win over Georgia at Turner Field on May 13 … Had four hits (two doubles) in ACC tournament, including go-ahead two-RBI single in eighth inning versus No. 16 Miami that broke 3-3 tie en route to Tech’s 6-3 victory … Had hit in all three games of NCAA Oxford Regional.
