Reimer Leads Tech at FSU Relays

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Junior transfer Marcus Canty posted a mark of 214’01” in the javelin throw to win the event to lead the Georgia Tech track and field teams at the FSU Relays tonight. Canty qualified for the NCAA Regional Championships with that toss. The outdoor meet will conclude on Saturday, March 20.

Sophomore Lauren Reimer finished ninth in the women’s shot put with a toss of 42’05.50″ to lead the Yellow Jacket women.

Also posting top-10 finishes for the Jackets in the shot put were juniors Zeb Sion and Jonathan Spillman. Spillman posted a mark of 50’02.75″ to finish ninth, while Sion finished 10th with a mark of 50’02.00″.

Sophomore Kira Barcus finished 13th in the pole vault with a mark of 10’04”.
