ORLANDO, Fl. – Georgia Tech alum Christopher Eubanks captured his second ATP Challenger title by lifting the trophy of the $52,080 Orlando Open presented by Nemours 2 held at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Fl., this past weekend. The 25-year-old US-American battled past Colombian qualifier Nicolas Mejia 2-6, 7-6(3), 6-4 in Sunday’s singles final. During his playing time at Tech he was a two-time all-American and twice named ACC Player of the Year.

This is Eubanks second career victory and trip to the winners’ circle at the Orlando Open.

Eubanks beat Alexander Ritschard from Switzerland, the No. 8 seed and compatriot Mitchell Krueger, Nicolas Jarry from Chile, as well as wild card entry fellow countryman Sam Riffice from the U.S. on his way to the championship match.

The World No. 205 Atlanta, Ga., native had 16 aces in the final and won 78 per cent of his first-service points to claim victory.

Following his maiden triumph at the Leon Challenger in Mexico in April 2018, Eubanks pocketed $7,200 in prize money as well as 80 ATP Ranking points.
