Postgame Fireworks Show Coming April 9

THE FLATS – Georgia Tech baseball has announced yet another new addition to the fan experience in 2026, a postgame fireworks show powered by Georgia Power following the conclusion of the No. 3 Yellow Jackets game vs. No. 6 Florida State on Thursday, April 9. The fireworks display will begin immediately following the conclusion of the game.

The 2026 baseball season has seen unprecedented fan support for a record-setting offense. Jacket fans set a new record for the most season tickets purchased, increasing the total from 2025 by nearly 75%. That led to the largest Opening Day crowd in program history (2,613) and the largest home crowd since 2008, yesterday vs. Auburn (4,033). All 19 home games this season have had an attendance of at least 2,000, already accounting for the most 2,000+ crowds in a single season in program history.

Georgia Tech has sold out three games this year (vs. Northwestern, Feb. 28, vs. Virginia Tech, March 7 and vs. No. 11 Auburn, March 31) It’s the most sellouts in the first two months of the season in program history.

The fireworks display is the latest in a series of new fan experiences at Mac Nease Baseball Park this season, including an expanded concourse, strike zone seating, first base row seating, more hawkers for concessions, new lights with light shows during and after games and the chance to watch the greatest offense in modern college baseball history.

The Yellow Jackets have responded with a 17-2 record at home this season, the best start to a home season since 2010. The Jackets are 3-0 when playing in front of a sold-out Mac Nease Baseball Park this year, winning each game by at least nine runs, scoring at least 13 runs in each game and winning by a combined score of 40-11.
